TAKE A DEEP BREATH

YOU HAVE EVERYTHING
YOU NEED

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, anger, self-esteem, body image, disordered eating, religious trauma, spiritual concerns, or living as a neurodivergent person — I’m along for the ride. I strive to embody both cultural humility and multiculturalism, creating a safe space that supports BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and people of all identities and backgrounds. I hold my client’s complexity and depth with sacred intention and respect.

MEET YOUR THERAPIST

BAILEY SIMS

From a young age, I felt drawn to the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, which eventually led me down the path of studying cross-cultural community development, mental health counseling, and yoga philosophy. Through personal experiences and professional training, I discovered the profound impact of integrating nature, mindfulness, and body-based practices into therapy sessions. My own journey of self-discovery and healing has deeply influenced my approach to counseling, guiding me to create a space where you can explore your inner landscape and cultivate a sense of wholeness.

About Bailey.png

MY JOURNEY

My journey has included formal education, extensive training, and ongoing professional development in areas such as psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, and nature-based interventions. As a therapist, I am trained to be a container for all thoughts, emotions, and experiences, to hold space for processing and transformation, and to build a true and authentic relationship with you. Over the years, what I realized is the most important part of this work for me is relationship. Connection to self, the natural world, our stories, our communities… this is why therapy works – it is a relationship. I am a human living a human experience, showing up alongside you as you navigate your own human experience.

empowerment, embodiment, integration

I am deeply honored to walk alongside you as you embark on your journey toward empowerment, embodiment, and integration. When we work together, whether in a 1:1 setting, group setting, or a hybrid of the two, I will help you work toward building confidence, unearthing your true self, gathering practical skills and tools, and peeling back the layers to reveal and access your power and strength.

let's walk this path together

APPROACH & STYLE

I believe that we are multidimensional beings, and I am not afraid to go to the depths of the human experience. I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which means I go beyond the symptoms to uncover the root of the issue and focus more on the process than the content. I use the here-and-now and the therapeutic relationship to help you gather insights into your own organization and functioning. I believe that mental health, like physical health, should not be confined to the rigid, westernized medical model, but aligned with and open to the dimensionality and complexity of the human experience.

NATURE

Both the natural world & our own inner-nature

By connecting with the earth — and the body as part of the earth — I help you gather the information needed to help your mind have a fuller picture of your own inner, intuitive wisdom and physiological or sensational experience of the body. When we work together, you will feel held, seen, and understood.
